Programme Objectives (PO)
- To facilitate student teachers understanding of the psychological, social and economic basis of teaching and learning and evaluation.
- To understand basic assumptions of ICT its scope in the area of teaching and learning.
- To develop positive attitude to teaching profession and towards the coming generation.
- Explain and use different approaches, methods and techniques of teaching learning of the Subject.
- To enable learners to develop advance skills and perceive the social and environmental issues and reflect upon them.
- To acquire the skills of conducting action research and to develop the skills of interpreting and reporting the findings of action research.
Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)
On completion of the program the pupil teachers will be able to:
- Apply the possessed knowledge of fundamental subjects to solve different problems.
- Analyze various educational and pedagogical problems.
- Design/ construct micro and macro plans with appropriate consideration ofunderstanding level of the students.
- Solve academic problems by applying the theoretical knowledge in real class rooms.
- Use updated and modern tools, online resources and audio visuals based on ICT.
- Apply their responsibilities in societal, environmental and academic contexts.
- Exhibit professional ethics and norms of academic development.
- Function individually and in team work with creativity.
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms and able to reflectcritically.
- Manage the research related work in academics.
- Practice the use of lifelong learning.
- Exhibit integrated value system and promote physical and mental wellness.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must have passed Graduation or Master's Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for Gen/ OBC and 45% marks for SC/ ST or Bachelor in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics or any other qualification equivalent thereto from any recognised University or AICTE recognised Institute/ College with minimum aggregate marks of 55% for Gen/ OBC and 50% marks for SC/ ST Category.
