M.Com. CBCS Pattern, offers specialization in Accounting and Finance, Banking and Insurance, Tax Laws and secretariat practices, and Marketing and variety of courses for Ability and Skill Enhancement. The Master of Commerce is a postgraduate course in the field of commerce specifically targeted for students who wish to become an expert in various areas of accounting and finance, banking and insurance, tax law and secretariat practices, and marketing.

This course is of 2 years duration and is highly regarded and very well received in the industry. The course provides quality education to the students meeting the needs of the managerial cadre in business and industry. It also serves the purpose of research and teaching in business studies.

Program Objectives (PO):

The program has following specific objectives:

  • To teach rigorous and up to date curriculum in advanced biotechnology
  • To educate students about diverse cutting-edge technologies, and their applications in frontier areas of biotechnology
  • To provide specialized knowledge in the areas of individual interest through need- based elective courses
  • To provide excellent hands-on training and research exposure in diverse disciplines like biochemistry, bioinformatics, recombinant DNA technology, etc
  • To train students so that they can undertake fundamental and translational biotechnology research in industrial and academic settings in a morally responsible manner, and can take up higher studies

Eligibility Criteria

M.Com can only be pursued by graduate students from commerce background (B. Com., B. Com. Hons.) with a minimum of 45% aggregate secured at graduation level.
Or
A Graduate with Honours in Economics or Mathematics or Statistics with a minimum of 45% aggregate.
