Overview
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is a three year degree course,which provides students the knowledge and skills required to prepare a professional career as a Social Worker. It generally offers students a broad foundation for social work practice. Students enrolled in this course, will provide services to individuals, groups, families, and communities, with a focus on working with the undeserved or oppressed population. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work prepares students for an entry-level position upon graduation and offers them their first opportunity to become licensed. The course include the knowledge related to Introduction to Social Work ,Human Psychology and Social Life ,Human Rights and Justice ,Social Case Work, Group Work and Community Work ,Family Life Education and Palliative Care ,Welfare of Elderly and Youth ,Programme Media Social Welfare Policy ad Social Development and Social Work Research Methods with Field Work (NGO and Community Profiling , Industry Visits, Field Visits, Guest Lectures and Workshops).
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent system from any recognized Central/State Board in any stream with minimum aggregate marks of 45% or equivalent grade for Gen/OBC and 40% marks or equivalent grade for SC/ST Category.
