Overview

The lack of technical experience in the light vehicle sector makes it difficult to redesign for the use of electric drives as the principal source of motive power. It is projected that in the next five years, the electric vehicle sector would need more than five million UG/PG engineers. SRMU has partnered with ISIEINDIA, India's Largest E-Mobility and Skill Based teaching Platform having over eight years of expertise in EV/HEV teaching and research.

The design, development, and use of electric vehicle technology are the main goals of SRMU's Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in ECE with a specialty in Electric Vehicle Engineering. Students participating in this four-year degree program are required to devote a full year to research projects. It is being offered in collaboration with two industry leaders, MG Motors and ISIE India.

With ISIEINDIA's extensive and immersive training programs, engineering graduates may quickly gain competency and productivity. The theory, concepts, and applications of automotive embedded systems, vehicle networking, intelligent transport systems, intelligent transportation concepts, thermal systems, power electronics, automotive safety, EV charging, AI, IOT, Data Science Application to Automotive Industry, homologation, vehicle testing and certification, standard and EV, and HEV modeling and simulation for the passenger car industry are all covered by the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Engineering Academia Program.

Eligibility Criterion

Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent system from any recognized Central/ State Board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Computer Science/Technical Vocational Subject with minimum aggregate marks of 45%.
