Master of Computer Application (MCA) is a 2 year (four semesters) professional Master’s Degree program in computer application. The course is designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of computing industry. The MCA program focuses on providing a sound theoretical background as well as good practical exposure to students in the relevant areas. It covers various aspects of computational theory, programming, algorithm design and optimization, network and database management, mobile technologies, electronics, mathematics, probability, statistics, accounting, and finance.

Candidate must have a B.C.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com/ B.A. degree with minimum aggregate marks of 50% or CGPA of 5.5 for GEN/OBC and 45% marks or CGPA of 5.0 for SC/ST Category and should have Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at graduation.

  • Understand, analyze and develop computer programs in the areas related to algorithmic structures, networking principles, operating system concepts and solutions for specific application development using appropriate data modeling concepts.
  • Apply standard software engineering practices and strategies in software project development and management using open-source programming environment to deliver a quality product for business success.
  • Ability to design and develop efficient computing systems using concepts of underlying computer architecture, computational approaches and other related disciplines to meet customer’s objectives.
  • Ablity to apply ethical principles and communication skills to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the programming and management principles to manage projects in multi-disciplinary environment.
