Formation of University Student Senate:

The Senate is established through an indirect election process, with Class Representatives (CRs) directly elected for each undergraduate and postgraduate class. These CRs then elect a set number of Institute Representatives (IRs) from each institute, totaling 40 elected IRs. The 40 IRs, along with 10 Nominated Members, form the University Student Senate, consisting of 50 members who further elect 4 Office Bearers—Convener, Deputy Convener, Secretary, and Treasurer.
