Dr. Neeraj Kumar Tiwari (International Meeting- CANADA)

Dr. Neeraj Kumar Tiwari, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering was invited to attend the 19th Annual International Meeting of ISPOR, which was held during May 31- June 04, 2014 in Montreal, CANADA. He was honored a Judge to assess the poster presentations which were presented by participants during meeting. To discuss about “Big data use in health care decision making and policy formulation” was the major them of this International meeting. There were also extensive short courses/educational program, dealing with the various aspects of the whole variety of big data use and health care policy. Dr Neeraj participated 4 Short courses during his stay in CANADA. Full financial support to attend the meeting was recommended by ISPOR, USA. Also Dr. Neeraj attended the Young Professional Group meeting.

The UPCST (Govt. of UP) Research Project of Dr. Neeraj

A Research project has been sanctioned by the Uttar Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, (Govt. of UP) to Dr. Neeraj Kumar Tiwari, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering. The project is entitled “Risk assessment of Self Reported Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS) in young generation exposed to EMR from Mobile Communication Technologies”. Budget of the project is Rs. 9, 00, 000/- for 3 years duration has been recommended under “Young Scientist Scheme” of the Uttar Pradesh Council of Science and Technology. The Product will run at Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering.

International Conference ( Dr. Sunil Kumar)

Dr. Sunil Kumar’s visit to London (UK), XIII International Conference on Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ICGHN2015) Dr. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Biotechnology, Institute of Bio-Science & Technology at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University had attended the XIII International Conference on Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ICGHN2015) at London, United Kingdom (UK) from February 14 - 18, 2015. The conference was organized by the World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology (WASET), United Arab Emirates. Dr. Kumar chaired a session in this conference and delivered a lecture entitled “Association between a serotonin re-uptake transporter gene polymorphism and mucosal serotonin level in women patients with irritable bowel syndrome and healthy control: A pilot study from northern India”.

The DST SERB research project of Dr. Prachi Bhargava, IBST

The DST SERB research project of Dr. Prachi Bhargava, IBST A Research Project has been sanctioned by the Department of Science and Technology (Government of India) to Dr. Prachi Bhargava, Assistant Professor, Institute of Biosciences and Technology. The project entitled “Gene targeted metagenomics for isolation and characterization of psychrophilic protease(s) of Western Indian Himalayas”. The budget of the project is 22 lacs for three years. The project is running successfully in Institute of Biosciences and Technology.


International World Congress on Petroleum and Refinery

Dr. Archana Saily Painuly appointed member of International World Congress on Petroleum and Refinery organizing committee to be held in July 21-23, 2016 in Brisbane, Australia. Petroleum and Refinery has been themed “Emerging technologies and challenges in petroleum and refinery industry” which extensively covers all aspects on scientific and technical advances in the field of Petroleum and Refinery ranging from the integration of instruments, methodologies and technologies to their use in Petroleum Engineering, Refining Technology and other Drilling Services.

Journalism & Mass Communication

2nd Annual World Conference on Media & Mass Communication (MEDCOM -2016)

Ms Neha Bhushan’s visit to Bangkok (Thailand), 2 nd Annual World Conference on Media & Mass Communication (MEDCOM -2016). Ms Neha Bhushan, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Journalism & Mass Communication, Institute of Media Studies at Shri Ramswroop Memorial University had attended 2 nd Annual World Conference on Media & Mass Communication themed “Technology: Its Impact on Media and the way we think and Communicate” in Bangkok, Thailand on April 21-22, 2016. The Conference was organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management in collaboration with University of Northern Colorado. Ms. Bhushan had presented a research paper titled “A Critical Analysis of Social Networking Sites Users of Rural India”. A study of the rural area of District Azamgarh U.P.

Awards & Honours

  • Prof. (Dr) Shirin Abbas, Institute of Media Studies, was conferred with the "Distinguished Woman in Social Science Award" for her contribution and achievements in Media Studies by Venus International Foundation India in Chennai on Saturday 4th March 2017.
    Prof. (Dr) Shirin Abbas also chaired a session in 3rd International Conference on Humanities, Social Science and Education (ICSHHE-17) held on March 13-15 in Dubai.
  • Dr. Abhishek Saxena had been facilitated by “Guru Pranam Award” from Prof. Abhishek Mishra, Honorable Minister of Vocational Education and Skill Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh at Lucknow on 7th May’16. Dr. Saxena is a Professor and Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering, SRMU and had been awarded for his innovative ways of teaching. He is very popular among his students. He had been appreciated for his various achievements in the field of Research and Technology. He had applied for two patents for his innovative research work in Concrete Technology that would be beneficial to the society. Dr. Saxena is actively working for environment, especially in the field of Groundwater Management and Pollution.
  • It is a matter of immense pleasure and great pride that, our University has been awarded for "Best Innovative University” in the ‘9thASSOCHAM HIGHER EDUCATION SUMMIT 2K16’ on Role of Higher Education in Leveraging Indian Innovative Ecosystem and National Excellence Awards 2016. In a glittering ceremony on Feb 17, 2016, Hon. Minister of State for HRD, Government of India (Higher Education), Prof. (Dr.) Ram Shankar Katheria felicitated Our Chancellor Mr. Pankaj Agarwal.
  • SRMU’s team were appreciated by DM Lucknow on 17th Dec 2015.

    On behalf of SRMU’s team, Dr. Neeraj Kumar Tiwari, who is the Program Coordinator of NSS-SRMU and I CARE INDIA Program for “Transforming Govt. Primary Education in Lucknow”, has been highly appreciated on 17th December 2015 at DM Residence by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University – Prof. SB Nimse and District Magistrate Shri Raj Shekhar. The joint efforts were made by faculty members i.e. Dr. Ritu Chandra, Dr. Raj Laxhmi, Dr. Alka Singh, Dr. Veena Singh, Dr. Madhu Tiwari, Ms. Vandana Upadhyay, Mr. Sagar Anand, Ms. Bushra Tufail, Mr. S.K. Singh, Ms. Kritika Rastogi, Ms. Nancy Gupta and 100 volunteers of University.

    Paper titled, "SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES: EXPERIENCES & IMPERATIVES IN THE PROCESS OF INTERNATIONALIZATION” written by Prof. (Dr.). A.K.Singh & Ms. Jyoti Dewan was conferred with the Best Paper Award and Trophy in the prestigious International Conference on "Transnational Entrepreneurs and International SMEs in Emerging Economies: Drivers and Strategies" (21-22 May 2015), organized by the Indian Institute of Management- Bangalore in collaboration with San Jose State University (SJSU), California, USA, and Imperial College London, and Enterprise Research Centre, UK, and in partnership with Institute of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE), UK, NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL), IIM Bangalore, India, and Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), UK.

    The conference was supported by European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (CSBE), India, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Karnataka State Council, India, and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Bangalore Chapter, India.
  • Melvin Yahr International T. Award at Geneva, Switzerland

    Melvin Yahr International T. Award at Geneva, Switzerland (2013) Dr. Neeraj Kumar Tiwari, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering was invited to attend the XX World Congress on PDRD that took place during the second week of December 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland. During the world congress Dr. Neeraj was recommended for “Melvin Yahr International Travel Award” from the IAPRD Netherland. As the motto for this World Congress was “Integration by Translation”, this congress dealt in a most translational way with most recent research and updates on the e-health and treatment modalities of Neuro-disorders bringing together a large faculty of world-wide renowned, distinguished scientists, technocrats, clinicians and allied health experts with a wide range of expertise in this field. He presented a research paper entitled as Prevalence of Tremor among Frequent Cellular Phone Users. Dr. Neeraj was recommended for “Melvin Yahr International Travel Grant” from the IAPRD Netherland. In addition, he completed successfully a CME/CPD Certificate of 16 credits from European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).

    SRMU’s Dean for the Institute of Journalism and Mass Communication, Prof Shirin Abbas, was among the 51 selected women awarded the Bhartiya Nari Samman instituted by the Drishya Bharti Foundation in June 2014. Senior bureaucrat Mr. Navneet Sehgal gave away the award to the winners. Prof Abbas was awarded for her contribution to Education & Journalism

    Mrs.Pooja Agarwal, Pro-Chancellor of Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University is an erudite, charming and compassionate trail blazer whose thirst for learning and proficiency motivates her to consistently scale new heights of perfection. She has achieved success at a young age through sheer determination, hard work, commitment to quality and her desire to make a positive difference in all the lives she touches.

    On May 8, 2015, Mrs.Pooja Agarwal was felicitated with HINDUSTAN TIMES WOMAN ACHIEVERREADERS’ CHOICE AWARD 2015, in recognition of her contribution to society in the field of education and entrepreneurship.
  • 'Raktdan ko Samman Samaroh'

    'Raktdan ko Samman Samaroh' a glittering ceremony to felicitate blood donors was organized by the Department of Transfusion Medicine-King George's Medical University, Lucknow on the 24th April, 2015.

    The Chancellor, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, Mr.Pankaj Agarwal was felicitated by the Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Ram Naik for setting an example by being a regular blood donar with 21 units of blood to his credit.

    Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group of Institutions was praised for its efforts to motivate employees, students & people at large to donate blood.

    Prof. (Dr.) Ravi Kant- Vice Chancellor-KGMU, Mr.R.P.Singh (IAS) Principal Secretary Medical Education & Mr.Arvind Kumar (IAS) Principal Secretary Medical Health & Family Welfare were also present on the occasion.
