Candidate aspiring to take admission in any course (except LL.M. and B.Ed.) can apply and take admission on basis of marks scored in entrance examination. In case of LL.M. selection is done on basis of entrance examination and interview. For B.Ed. the candidate needs to appear in an interview process before getting admission. However due to COVID-19, all entrance examinations/ interview have been cancelled and direct admission is provided on basis of marks scored in qualifying examinations.

After getting the information regarding the courses and knowing eligibility criteria, students can apply for any course by paying the required amount for the reserving the seat either offline or online https://srmu.ac.in/online-admission

You are welcome to apply to SRMU. We will evaluate your credentials and admissibility after you have submitted an application. Here at SRMU, we do a comprehensive review of all applications.

The minimum percentage criteria for the admissions is 45% marks in the qualifying examination (10 th for Diploma/ 12th for undergraduate and integrated excluding B.Ed. and LL.B. / Graduation for post graduate courses. However there are certain courses where the minimum percentage required is higher. It is advised to check eligibility criterion for different courses.

The students can apply for the courses even if they have compartment in their exam, but that admission would be considered as provisional till the time student won’t submit the original passing mark sheet. The deadline for the same is 30th October.

Yes, all such students are provided provisional admission subject to confirmation on the basis of their final result meeting the eligibility criterion of the chosen course.

If the candidate meets the eligibility of the other course in which switching is desired the same is permissible once only and before class commencement. Fees paid will be adjusted out against the new course.

SRMU-SET is a scholarship entrance test offered by SRMU. Any student interested in undergraduate (except B.Ed. and LL.B.) and integrated programs can apply for the scholarship exam.

SRMUSET is a scholarship cum Entrance test which has been launched with the basic purpose of providing aspirants of undergraduate (except B.Ed. & LLB) and integrated programs another chance to score well and get rewarded.

This scheme is applicable only to those students who have done degree/ diploma course from our college or university campus and are now interested in going for next level of degree course from university campus.

A student will be able to avail one of the scholarship schemes subject to the condition that he satisfies the eligibility criterion of the course in which admission is desired. The scholarships can only be clubbed with OTP (One Time Payment) discounts. The amount of the same is mentioned below:

In line with government initiative KHELEGA INDIA BADHEGA INDIA, attractive fee waivers are provided to sportspersons.

1. For ward of martyrs à 100% of yearly tuition fee waiver
2. For ward of serving/ retired defense persons à 100% of semester tuition fee
3. For national level sports person à 100% of semester tuition fee
4. For state level sports person à 50% of semester tuition fee
5. For sibling à 50% of semester tuition fee
6. For blood relatives/ ward of faculty/ staff à 50% of semester tuition fee
7. For student referrals à 30% of semester tuition fee (to be adjusted in fee of student or referred case)
8. For staff referrals à 30% of semester tuition fee (to be adjusted in fee of student only)

You can get attractive fee waivers through our Performance Based Scholarship. Through this meritorious students are awarded with attractive fee incentives.

Candidate can follow the given fee payment schedule:

30% of first year course fee at time of seat locking cum registration 20% of first year course fee on or before 30^th September

50% of first year course fee on or before 25^th December

In case the candidate opts for payment of entire first year course fee, a one-time payment discount will be applied.

Yes, in such case admission will be cancelled. Course change is allowed subject to condition that the candidate meets down the eligibility of the new course. Fees will be adjusted or refunded as per the case. Refund of fee will be as per university refund policy.

SRMU aims to empower and motivate women and girls, to speak up against harassment, register a strong voice and not find themselves at the receiving end of societal victimization, alienation or pressures that refrains them from registering their dissent. Some of the initiatives are:

1. Appointing female students as Power Angels in Women Powerline 1090 having powers of Special Police Officer
2. Regular sessions conducted by Women Powerline 1090 at campus
3. NCC for girls and boys
4. Self-defense workshop in association with Red Brigade
5. Inspirational session by women achievers which includes Padma Awardees, civil servants, prominent educationist and many more

Enhanced medical facility is provided within the University to all the Students and Faculty / Staff members for immediate medical attention and care. This facility has been outsourced to “Doctel.” A health kiosk machine is available in the centre. A full medical check-up of the students is done twice a year. The complete medical data is stored in an App. Provision of two nurses (Male & Female) is available in MI room as well as in hostel. Empanelled and enlisted doctors are available through video conferencing for online support. The centre has the first-aid facility for any emergency that may arise.

SRMU has got a Student Senate which is an independent student body that works in association with university authorities to work and improve on student related issues.

Further the Online Grievance Redressal Mechanism for the students of the University has been started to resolve the complaints/ issues faced by the students in a more transparent manner.

You may apply before completing all of your academic qualification, however you are required to complete the relevant section of the application form by giving details of examination in which you will be appearing and your expected date of completion.

A Student needs to carry all the mark sheets as well as essential credentials original.

Students are required to maintain minimum SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) and CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) to get promoted to the next semester and qualify for Degree/ Diploma.

A minimum 75% attendance is required to appear in the examinations.

Partial payments are not accepted. You are required to pay first semester fee as well as academic security fee as per the deadline.

If you are not able to pay the fees within the specified date due to some valid reason you are required to approach the admission office. Depending upon the availability of seats and decision of admission committee, future extension of date may be considered.

SRMU assures 100% placement assistance. In order to be eligible for the recruitment process, event student is required to achieve a minimum of 6 on a 10 point scale.

The mode of language would be English in all programs except for B.Ed. and M.A. (Journalism & Mass Communication) programs, where it will be bilingual.

Normally, the campus placement season begins at the pre-final/ final semester. It commences in the month of July and goes on till the end of the academic year.

We provide with 15 minutes tour for the students and the parents. The tour starts from the admission center and it is available throughout the calendar year.
