The Institute of Management, Commerce and Economics was started in the year 2012. IMCE seeks to be a trail blazer in management education through strong academic-industry collaboration, promoting entrepreneurial programs, and developing international initiatives and alliances. IMCE thrusts on creating an innovative, ethical and intellectual environment with a focus on leadership and management in a technology intensive global market. IMCE has been playing a pivotal role in the growth of students and scholars through blend of theory and practice, using highly innovative teaching pedagogy.

• MBA : CBCS Pattern, offers specialization in Human Resource, Marketing, Finance, International Business, Operations Management and Entrepreneurship & Family Business Management, Choices of Open Electives, Option to earn additional credits through value added courses and variety of courses for Ability and Skill Enhancement.
• BBA :CBCS Pattern, offers specialization in Human Resource, Marketing, Finance, International Business, Family Business Management, Choices of Open Electives, and variety of courses for Ability and Skill Enhancement.
• Ph.D. Programme : Master’s degree with at least 55% marks

Prof. (Dr.) Mohit Verma

Dr. Mohit Verma is a Professor & Dean-Management at Institute of Management, Commerce & Economics, SRMU. He has a vast experience in academia as well as in corporate. Prof. Mohit Verma has more than 26 years of experience in his credit out of which more than 21 years of Academics & Higher Education in teaching, training, research and academic administration, and 5 years of corporate experience in Marketing and Sales. Prof. Mohit also has a rich International academic exposure in couple of overseas assignments in Dubai (UAE) of more than six years. Before joining SRMU, he has worked with leading and renowned institutions like Institute of Productivity & Management, Lucknow, India, IMT Business School, Dubai and American University, Dubai. Prof. Mohit is a Post-Graduate in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing and holds a Ph.D. from Lucknow University. His research interests include Consumer Behaviour, Green Marketing, Services Marketing, and Retailing.

Dr. Mohit has been an active corporate trainer and conducted various executive programs for corporates in the area of Retail and Marketing. He has also conducted Faculty Development Programs, Seminars and published cases, articles and research papers in leading publications.

As a passionate academician, he had been mentor and trainer for his students and has ensured highest quality in teaching, learning and student support system to help students being transformed from potential to professionals.

SEMINARS

• Seminar on the Role of NABARD in Rural Development

  A one day seminar on the Role of NABARD in Rural Development was organized on October 24, 2018. Mr. A.K. Singh Chief General Manager, NABARD was the Chief Guest of the seminar. It was intended to make the students aware about the various roles of NABARD particularly empowering the dwellers and institutions of rural area and changing the of rural economy

  

• Seminar on Impact of Interim Budget 2019-20 on Industry and Commerce

  A seminar on “Impact of Interim Budget 2019-20 on Industry and Commerce” was conducted by IMCE on February 5th, 2019. It aimed at developing a practical insight in the students regarding the Indian Economy and economic policies encapsulating various sectors and developing an analytical approach. In the first session students gave their presentations. In the second session CA Sujeet addressed the students which was followed by an Open House Discussion. The students raised pertinent questions which were answered by the expert enthusiastically. The best presentations were felicitated with certificates.

  At the end of the session Prof. (Dr) Ajay Prakash, Director, IMCE enlightened the entire gathering with his vast knowledge and rich experience on various aspects of the Budget and issues pertaining thereto.

  

• National Seminar on case studies in Management, Commerce and Economics

  A National Seminar on case studies in Management, Commerce and Economics was organised by the Institute of Management, Commerce and Economics (IMCE), Shri Ramswaroop Memorial and Memorial (SRMU) on April 12-13, 2019 in the University campus. The main objective of the Seminar was to promote academicians, research scholars, corporate executives and government officials in developing case studies related to their interest areas and expertise. The Seminar received overwhelming response from both the academia, industry and Government. Representations from Premier Institutions such as NABARD, Hindustan Petroleum, H&H Pharmaceuticals, IBS Pune, Bangalore University, IIT Roorkee, HBTU, Kanpur, University of Allahabad, BHU, JNU, Delhi University and University of Lucknow were received.

  Eminent speakers from renowned institutions like IBS, Bangaluru, All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi; NABARD; Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU); University of Lucknow, Lucknow; JNPG College, Lucknow; Giri institute of Development Studies, Lucknow and Hindustan Petroleum, Mumbai delivered valuable inputs on multifarious aspects of a case study.

  

  

  

• Seminar on “Impact of Union Budget 2020-21 on Business and Industry”

  The Institute of Management, Commerce and Economics (IMCE), Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University organized its 3rd Seminar on Union Budget on the topic “Impact of Union Budget 2020-21 on Business and Industry” on February 5th, 2020 on its University campus. It was a student centric Seminar. The main objective of the Seminar was to motivate the students to know and analyze the crucial aspects of the Union Budget with respect to Business and Industry; particularly the issues like taxation, investment and start-up.

  The Seminar envisaged huge success in terms of its execution and attracted over two hundred participants and presenters from various premier institutions like University of Lucknow, Lucknow, Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow and Jay Narayan PG College, Lucknow.

  

  

  
  
  
  
  

  

  

WORKSHOPS

• Workshop on Case Preparations and Writing Skills

  A one-day workshop on Case Preparations and Writing Skills was organized by IMCE on September 29, 2018 in collaboration with IBS, Hyderabad. Faculty members and research scholars of IMCE were the participants of the workshop. It aimed at facilitating the faculty members, research scholars and professionals in preparing and writing case studies as well as their use. Dr. G.S. Narsing Rao, Director, IBS-Pune was the key resource person. The workshop included two sessions. First session was based on the conceptual framework and the second session included the discussions on two cases which were facilitated in advance before the session. He also made the participants develop their own case based on their learning of both the sessions.

  

  

  

• Workshop on "Nuances of Leadership"

  A Talk show on "Nuances of Leadership" by Prof. Abhishek Mishra, formerly with IIM, Ahmedabad and ex Cabinet Minister, U.P. was held on 16 November,2018 in collaboration with Times of India and Economic Times. The objective of talk was to enhance awareness about leadership skills and contemporary issues related to nuances of leadership among the students.

  

• Faculty Development Program/ Quality Improvement Program (QIP)

  A four dayQuality Improvement Program (QIP) on “Writing and Publishing Quality Research Papers” was organized by the IMCE from July 20, 2019 to July 23, 2019. The main objective of the QIP was to deepen the understanding of the rudiments of research and develop skills for conducting and publishing research papers in ABDC/ABS/SCI Indexed/SCOPUS listed journals and writing PhD Thesis.

  The program was conducted in an interactive manner aided by in-class exercises, short individual and group assignments.

  The QIP received an overwhelming response from the academia and industry as well. Around 100 research scholars and faculties were present in the program.

• Summer Internship Workshop for Students

  A Summer Internship workshop for Students of MBA- Ist Year was conducted on 03/06/2019. It aimed at aiding the students sharpening their theoretical and conceptual knowledge and telling them about Summer Internship. Prof. (Dr) Ajay Prakash, Director, IMCE addressed the students and guided them about the need and importance of Summer Internship and its role in giving a practical exposure and learning experience to the budding professionals. Several queries were raised by the participants followed by the discussions made the workshop interactive.

Debate Competitions

In order to inculcate the habit of reading and develop lateral thinking in the students various Debate Competitions were held in IMCE.

• Debate on“Recent Conflicting Issues: Government Stand Vis-a-Vis RBI”

  Held on 28 November, 2018. The Runner and Winner teams were declared and they were felicitated by the Director and Dean with certificates and prizes on 5 December, 2018.

  

  

• Debate on“The Recent Revision in the Growth Rate: Is it Rational?”

  Held on 5 December, 2018. After an exhaustive session of arguments and counter arguments the final result was declared. Abhishek Pandey, B. A. (H) Economics and Nischal Srivastava, MBA were declared the Winners for and against the motion respectively. Vaibhav Kumar Singh, MBA received Runner Up award for the motion while Riya Vaish, MBA was adjudged Runner Up against the motion. The participants were felicitated by the Director and Dean with certificates and prizes.

  

• Debate on ''Mobile Apps- An Invasion to Privacy”

  Held on September 26th, 2019. Students from a B.A.(Hons), B.Com. (Hons) and BBA participated in the competition. Based on the criteria of content, presentation and language proficiency the following teams were adjudged as top four teams:

  The students of IMCE attended the 3 days “Young Leader Program” organized by IIM Lucknow from 16/11/2018 to 18/11/2018. The students learnt the skills to combat the challenges of life and profession along with the essentials of leadership and its far-reaching impact on various aspects of the organizational culture and productivity from eminent speakers. The students had the opportunity to interact with the speakers and raised their queries which were answered enthusiastically by the speakers. Besides, they enjoyed the musical night by eminent singers Vishal-Shekhar and also participated in various activities.
