Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU) recently wrapped up its much-anticipated annual sports festival, ULLAS 2024, held from October 3rd to October 5th. The three-day event was filled with energy and enthusiasm as over 30 teams from various universities and colleges participated in a range of sports competitions. SRMU emerged victorious, securing the first position, while Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Institute and BBD took the second and third positions, respectively. The event was a platform for athletes to showcase their dedication and skills, making the festival a grand success. Pro-Chancellor Pooja Agarwal presented the ULLAS 2024 trophy to the SRMU team in a proud moment for the university.
The festival also featured international wrestler and Olympian Nisha Dahiya as the chief guest, who inspired the participants with her presence and words of encouragement. SRMU Chancellor Pankaj Agarwal honored her with a prize of INR 1 lakh, acknowledging her contribution to Indian sports on the global stage. He expressed SRMU’s commitment to supporting her in her future endeavors, emphasizing that the university family stands with her. Nisha’s participation added prestige to the event, and her story of determination resonated with the students and athletes alike.
At the closing ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vikas Mishra commended the participants for their efforts and enthusiasm, encouraging them to continue pursuing excellence in both academics and sports. He wished them a bright future and applauded the organizing team for the seamless execution of the event. Alongside Dr. Mishra, University Advisor Aarushi Agarwal, Registrar Neerja Jindal, Sports Coordinator Nidhi Shukla, Dr. Veena Singh, Dr. Akanksha Nigam, and other faculty members, contributed to the success of ULLAS 2024. The presence of students and faculty created an atmosphere of camaraderie and sportsmanship, making the event a memorable one for all.
