SRMU Hosts International FDP to Redefine 21st-Century Teaching Practices

The Institute of Management, Commerce & Economics (IMCE) at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU) successfully organized an International Workshop-cum-Faculty Development Programme on the theme “Teacher-Centered & Student-Centered Teaching Strategies” from 15th to 19th July 2025. This five-day online event brought together distinguished academic experts from across the globe, including speakers from Kosovo, Iraq, and leading Indian universities, to explore transformative teaching methodologies that align with the evolving needs of modern learners. With over 100 participants from various disciplines, the FDP offered insights into balancing structured instruction with student-led learning models, addressing themes like digital transformation, adaptive classrooms, and performance-driven pedagogy.

Held under the visionary leadership of Chancellor Er. Pankaj Agarwal, Pro-Chancellor Er. Pooja Agarwal, and Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Misra, the FDP reinforced SRMU’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation in education. The sessions were designed to help educators transition from conventional teaching roles to dynamic facilitators who foster inquiry, creativity, and collaboration in their classrooms. By integrating management principles into pedagogy, the program highlighted the importance of instructional design, assessment strategies, and the use of technology to maximize learning outcomes. This global initiative reflects SRMU’s dedication to empowering faculty and shaping the educators of tomorrow.
