SRMU Organizes 10th Seminar on “Impact of Union Budget 2026–27 on Business & Industry”

Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU), Institute of Management, Commerce & Economics (IMCE) successfully organized its 10th Seminar on “Impact of Union Budget 2026–27 on Business & Industry” on February 5, 2026. The seminar aimed to critically examine the implications of the Union Budget on the corporate sector, industrial growth, and the broader Indian economy by bringing together academicians, industry experts, professionals, and students on a common platform.

The programme commenced at 10:30 AM with the ceremonial Deep Prajwalan, followed by the Kulgeet. The seminar was formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Col. (Dr.) Vijay Tiwari, who emphasized the role of fiscal discipline, policy reforms, and proactive government initiatives in strengthening India’s business and industrial ecosystem. He highlighted the Union Budget as a strategic instrument for fostering sustainable economic growth and enhancing the ease of doing business. Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Madhu Dixit, Head, Faculty of Management, IMCE, underlined the significance of budgetary policies in shaping business decisions, investment patterns, and long-term economic development. She stressed the importance of continuous academic engagement with contemporary economic policies to prepare students for evolving industry realities.

The seminar featured an Expert Address Session by eminent professionals, including Mr. Satyendra Kumar Rajput, Managing Director, Ram Shree Chemicals and CII Representative; CS Manish Mishra; CMA Indermeet Kaur; and CA Karuna Jain. The speakers shared valuable insights on budget provisions related to manufacturing, taxation, compliance, corporate governance, and financial management, enabling participants to understand the practical and real-world implications of policy measures. From 11:05 AM to 12:00 PM, three Parallel Technical Sessions were conducted in both online and offline modes, allowing academicians, industry experts, and students to present papers and critically analyze the sectoral impact of the Union Budget. A Panel Discussion and Question–Answer Session, moderated by Prof. (Dr.) Veena Singh, Head, Faculty of Commerce & Economics, IMCE, facilitated active interaction between participants and experts, addressing key concerns and queries related to the budget. The best paper presentations were recognized and awarded with prizes and certificates.

The seminar concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Prof. (Dr.) Veena Singh, followed by the National Anthem, marking the successful culmination of a highly insightful academic–industry interaction.
