M. Tech. in Environmental Engineering

Drawing from a wide range of academic fields, including chemistry, ecology, geology, hydraulics, hydrology, microbiology, economics, and mathematics, environmental engineering is a large area. There is a rising need for competent human resources with the skills to manage this industry due to the growing importance of protecting public health and the environment in a sustainable manner. Environmental engineering is a subfield of chemical and civil engineering that focuses on human health, pollution of the environment, water usage, and natural resource management. It is the study of issues related to contamination of the soil, air, and water.

The two-year, full-time M.Tech. (Master of Technology) degree in Environmental Engineering focuses on managing water resources, land use, and air pollution. Key scientific mathematics and computational ideas are integrated into the curriculum to address both established and new environmental problems in various geographic contexts.
