M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering (Part Time)

Integrating economic growth & environmental conservation

Overview

Environmental engineering is a broad field that draws from several academic disciplines, such as chemistry, ecology, geology, hydraulics, hydrology, microbiology, economics, and mathematics. The necessity of safeguarding the environment and public health in a sustainable manner is driving up the need for qualified human resources with the know-how to run this sector. Within the fields of chemical and civil engineering, environmental engineering focuses on issues related to water use, natural resource management, human health, and environmental pollution. It is the study of problems pertaining to water, air, and soil pollution.

The three-year, part-time M.Tech. program in Environmental Engineering is concentrated on air pollution, land use, and water resource management. The program incorporates essential scientific mathematics and computational concepts to tackle novel and known environmental issues across many geographical settings. This program was started by SRMU, one of the top M.Tech. Environmental Engineering universities in Uttar Pradesh, to develop technocrats who can work to guarantee that people live in a safe and healthy environment and to lessen the damaging effects of human activity on the environment. Participants in this program will also learn how to clean up previously contaminated areas' soil, air, and water quality.

In the areas of sustainable development, renewable energy, green buildings, and environmental audits, there are sufficient optional courses available to provide students a deeper understanding of both established and emerging sub-disciplines. This integrated program prepares students for careers in academic and industrial research.
