Electric drives are a vital area of power electronics that affects every facet of human existence. More sophisticated electric motor drives are currently taking the place of earlier motor drives in order to improve performance, efficiency, and durability due to the quick development of power electronics and control approaches.

The goal of the two year full time M. Tech. program in Power Electronics & Electric Drives is to teach students to acquire the knowledge of the concepts of modern power converters technologies, designing mechanism and their application in drives, industries and power transmission network. Students will be able to identify different types of converters according to the rating demand and designing techniques. Ranked as the best M.Tech. Eligibility Criterion

Candidate must have passed B. Tech from any recognised University or AICTE recognised Institute/College with minimum aggregate marks of 50% or 5.5 CGPA for GEN/OBC and 45% marks or 5.0 CGPA for SC/ST Category. Candidate will be offered admission in M. Tech. only in that stream of Engineering in which he has obtained B. Tech.
