Production and Industrial engineering is an interdisciplinary branch of engineering that includes the study of complex systems, processes, or organizations as well as manufacturing technologies, engineering sciences, and management science. Production is a crucial step in the engineering process that is connected to inventory control and distribution. Manufacturing technology and management science are combined in this specialization in mechanical engineering, which is often referred to as production & industrial engineering. By utilizing integrated design, effective planning, and functional systems, production and industrial engineers aim to increase productivity. The job include developing and implementing integrated systems for personnel and supplies, in addition to tools and processes for increasing production and offering the highest caliber at a reasonable cost.

The three-year, part-time Master of Technology program in Production & Industrial Engineering aims to provide students with the skills necessary to take on difficult production issues and come up with innovative solutions to improve manufacturing processes. SRMU, one of the best universities in Uttar Pradesh, offers courses in advanced manufacturing technologies, industrial engineering, robotics, lean manufacturing, computer-aided design and manufacturing, and operations research, among other subjects.

Students are also taught computer skills such as CAD/CAM and computer-aided engineering to provide them a strong foundation. Eligibility Criterion

Candidate must have passed B. Tech from any recognised University or AICTE recognised Institute/College with minimum aggregate marks of 50% or 5.5 CGPA for GEN/OBC and 45% marks or 5.0 CGPA for SC/ST Category. Candidate will be offered admission in M. Tech. only in that stream of Engineering in which he has obtained B. Tech.

In addition to the above mentioned basic M. Tech (Regular) eligibility, candidates must have at least 2 years Teaching/Industrial/Research/Professional Work Experience for 3 years M. Tech (Part Time) in CE, ME, CS, EC & EE.
