Prof. (Dr.) Sudhir Kumar
He did his doctorate on the topic “A Study of Legal Provisions and Cases Pertaining to Dying in Harness Rule (A Special reference to Public Sector Employment in the State of Uttar Pradesh” from University of Lucknow, Lucknow, LL.M. from Kumaun University, Nainital Uttrakhand and LL.B. (Hons.) from University of Lucknow, Lucknow. Prof. (Dr.) Sudhir Kumar has over approximately 15 years of teaching experience, including administrative experiences. His area of specializations includes Constitutional Law, Criminal Law and Legal Research Methodology.
Prof. (Dr.) Sudhir Kumar has substantial academic work to his credit. As a distinguished academician he has published considerable number of research papers in various reputed national and international journals and has also presented research papers in various national and international seminars and conferences.
He also serves as a member of editorial boards of various reputed national and international journals. Prior to joining the Institute of Legal studies, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, he was Assistant Professor, Baba Sahab Bhimrao Ambedkar Law College affiliated to University of Lucknow, Lucknow.
In addition to his responsibilities as the Officiating Director and Professor at Institute of Legal Studies, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, he regularly delivers lectures at various educational institutes and also has chaired sessions in number of national and international seminars/ conferences

Highlights of Department
Institute of legal studies have integrated program . it comprises teachers of law ,management , commerce and humanities. It also participate in all events and conduct fun day too.
Events and Sports
In SRMU several club established for the holistic development of students. There are 14 clubs including sports club too. Student and teachers too take participation in the events.
The classes of Institute of Legal Studies are conducted in B4 building. Along with the Directors office at the IInd floor of there is a departmental library and a Well-furnished and well equipped Moot Court. There are around 20 class rooms (Computer room and Presentation room) in which the classes are conducted.
The Institute has a very rich departmental library with various reputed off line and online journals. It has good legal database like Manupatra etc. the Institute has a very beautiful and well-furnished moot court hall. The faculty member of the Institute are well qualified and most of them are aluminizes of NLU and previously taught in NLU.
The institute of legal studies conduct at least 12 expert talk and invited guest lecture for better understanding of its student by legal experts from various prominent universities and judges and advocates in each semester.Title
